Unlike what is stated in the article it was 4G + 2G + 2G.
No 2G coverage here so my money is gone for nothing.

Seems like the 4G+4G+4G thing is a marketing hoax.
it is possible to use 4G on all of the slots, but not at the same time.
The phone tells me to pick a primary SIM card, then non-primary SIM cards fall back to 2G only.

As you can see in the picture band selection is greyed out.
It is effectively 4G + 2G + 2G.
Ohh.. Thank you for letting us know about this. We have a trick which might work or maybe not, but there is no harm in trying. Open the Dialer and type
*#*#4636#*#*. You will see a Screen where you can test some of the phone functions. Here you will find Phone Information 1, Phone Information 2 and Phone Information 3. Based on the SIM Slot number which you want to change to 4G, click on the option. Now scroll down and you should see a selection box from where you can change the network band either to GSM, WCDMA or LTE. Try this and let us know.The menu only showed options for the first SIM card slot.
Anyway it reverted back to GSM only when I set it to anything other than that.
Coolpad Mega 3 is not worth. You cant install apps on SD card and then the last OTA upgrade contains a virus reported also by other users online. I would like to buy something more serious like Acer Liquid x2 but it is impossible to buy/find

I bought the e700 3 yrs ago. Best phone I ever had, until last christmas the battery kept giving an overheating warning, and then died. I was very sad. No I look to buy another triple sim and I am amazed that the e700 is still seemly the best? I mean is the X2 better? anybody bought one ever?
I am using a Acer Liquid x2 for 2 1/2 years, i love the Phone, works great. Only points i found is the GPS isn’t that strong, the same with wifi signal receiving.
I want to buy the same one again….but hard to find now Acer stopped producing them.
