Imagine a situation where you have lost your device and someone got their hands on it and without returning it to you, they thought of keeping it to themselves. In this situation, they will wipe the device’s user data and settings from Recovery Mode to bypass the lock screen protection (PIN or Pattern). But to their surprise, they will see a Google Account Sign In page, where you have to use the same Google Account which was on the device before resetting it. This protection was introduced by Google to prevent thefts and is called Factory Reset Protection (FRP).

But there might be some situation where you have Factory Reset your device from Recovery Mode and don’t remember the Google Account password or the account is blocked permanently. In this case, you can follow the below tutorial and bypass the Factory Reset protection on your YU Yuphoria YU5010 or YU5010A.

How to Bypass Factory Reset Protection on YU Yuphoria YU5010 & YU5010A:

Step 1: Install YU USB Drivers on your PC from here.

Step 2: Also install and setup ADB and Fastboot Drivers on PC. Make sure to use 15 Seconds installer and install it as system-wide.

Step 3: Boot YU Yuphoria into Fastboot Mode. How? YU5010 (Watch this video); YU5010A follow the instruction below:

1. Power off the device.
2. Press and hold Volume Up and Power buttons together until you see Fastboot Mode on Screen.

Step 4: Connect your device to PC using Micro USB Data Cable.

Step 5: Open Command Prompt and enter the below commands:

fastboot –i 0x2A96 erase config

fastboot –i 0x2A96 reboot

Congratulation! Now the Factory Reset Protection or FRP Screen is successfully bypassed on YU Yuphoria YU5010 or YU5010A.
