Those who have previously updated their Galaxy S4 LTE I9505 to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop, might have lost Root access on their device and to regain it they have to Root it again. So let’s proceed and Root Galaxy S4 LTE I9505 on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop.

Preparations:

• Make a backup of the important stored on your device to PC.

Backup & Restore Contacts

Backup & Restore Call Logs

Backup files on internal storage to PC

• Enable USB Debugging on Galaxy S4 LTE I9505.
• Make sure battery juice on your device is at least 75%.
• Download and install Samsung USB Drivers on PC.

How to Install CWM Recovery and Root Galaxy S4 LTE I9505 on Android 5.0.1 Lollipop:

Step 1: Download the CWM Recovery image [Mirror] file to PC. [Other versions]

Step 2: Download Odin Flash Tool and run it as administrator.

Step 3: Boot Galaxy S4 LTE I9505 into Download Mode.

• Power off Galaxy S4 LTE I9505.
• Press and hold Volume Down + Home + Power buttons simultaneously until you see some warning text on screen.
• Now press Volume Up to enter into Download Mode.

Step 4:  Connect it to PC via appropriate data cable.

Step 5: Flash the CWM Recovery image on Galaxy S4 LTE I9505, following Odin Flash Tool guide.

Step 6: Once flashed, reboot your device.

How to Root Galaxy S4 LTE I9505:

Step 1: Download the SuperSU Rooting Package from here and transfer it to root of your device’s SD card.

Step 2: Boot Galaxy S4 LTE I9505 into Recovery Mode.

• Power off Galaxy S4 LTE I9505.
• Press and hold Volume Up + Home + Power buttons simultaneously until you see Samsung Logo.

Step 3: Follow flashing zip guide and install Rooting Package using CWM Recovery.

Step 4: After the Rooting Package is installed reboot your device and check for root permissions using Root Checker App.
