How to unlock Bootloader on Yureka Plus YU5510 CyanogenMod Smartphone [Tutorial]

This tutorial shows how to unlock Bootloader on Yureka Plus YU5510 Android Smartphone – Complete Guide

Yureka Plus the company’s third Android Smartphone went on sale earlier last week and similar to Yureka this device also went out of stock in seconds. Yureka Plus is the slightly upgraded or enhanced version of Yureka and is priced extra Rs 1000, when compared to Yureka and on total it costs Rs 9,999. Yureka Plus is the successor of Yureka and comes with improved Display resolution and camera sensor when compared to its predecessor, Yureka.

In this tutorial we will guide you on how to unlock Bootloader on Yureka Plus YU5510 CyanogenMod Android Smartphone. Once you are done with the unlocking process you will be able to install Custom Recovery, Root and install Custom ROM’s on the device.

So without any further ado let’s proceed and unlock bootloader on Yureka Plus YU5510.

Preparations:

1. Don’t forget to take a complete backup of all of your data to safe place, as unlocking Bootloader wipes all of your data and settings.

Backup files on internal storage to PC

2. Enable USB Debugging on Yureka Plus.
3. Charge Yureka Plus to at least 75%.
4. Install Suitable USB Drivers on PC.
5. Setup ADB and Fastboot drivers on PC.

How to unlock Bootloader on Yureka Plus YU5510:

Step 1: Open the command prompt inside the Fastboot folder, by opening the Fastboot folder and pressing and holding Shift key and right clicking inside the Fastboot folder. Now select open command window here. If you have installed the ADB and Fastboot drivers system wide then you can just open the command prompt.

Step 2: Boot Yureka Plus into Fastoot Mode.

• Power off Yureka Plus.
• Press and hold the Volume Up key and connect it to PC.

Step 3: Now enter the following commands to unlock bootloader on Yureka Plus.

fastboot -i 0x1ebf devices

This command will show the list of devices connected to PC in Fastboot Mode. This confirms whether your device is successfully connected to PC or not.

Step 4: Now type:

fastboot -i 0x1ebf oem unlock

This command unlocks bootloader on Yureka Plus YU5510. It also wipes all of your user data and settings. So you have to setup your device again.

Step 5: Now type:

fastboot reboot

This command will reboot your device to normal mode.
