Google Pixel and Pixel XL are the latest Android Smartphones from Google. Unlocking Bootloader on these devices remains simple and easy. But for the Verizon Google Pixel XL and Pixel, the bootloader unlock process is a bit different. They require some extra commands to get the Bootloader Unlocked. So in this tutorial, we are going to show you how to unlock Bootloader on Verizon Google Pixel XL and Pixel Smartphone.
Unlocking Bootloader on Verizon Google Pixel and Pixel XL requires a tool called dePixel8, which can be downloaded from the below downloads section.
Pre-Requisites:
- Backup all the important data
- Enable USB Debugging and OEM Unlock Options from Settings > Developer Options. If Developer Options is missing follow the instructions listed here to enable Developer Options.
- Charge your Google Pixel or Pixel Xl to at least 65%.
- Install suitable Android USB Drivers on PC.
- Install ADB and Fastboot Drivers on PC.

How to Unlock Bootloader on Verizon Google Pixel XL and Pixel Smartphones:
Step 1: Download the dePixel8 and place it inside the ADB and Fastboot folder.
Step 2: Connect Google Pixel / Pixel XL to PC using USB Cable.
Step 3: Assuming that ADB and Fastboot folder is opened, press and hold the Shift key and right click inside the folder at the empty space and choose Open command window here.
Step 4: Issue the below commands to push the dePixel8 Script to your device.
adb push dePixel8 /data/local/tmp
adb shell chmod 755 /data/local/tmp/dePixel8
adb shell /data/local/tmp/dePixel8
Step 5: Now your device should automatically boot into Bootloader or Fastboot Mode. If it doesn’t follow the steps again from beginning.
Step 6: Once the device is in Bootloader Mode, issue the below commands to proceed with the Bootloader Unlock Process.
fastboot oem unlock
After entering this command you will get the confirmation screen. Just highlight Yes using Volume Up button and press Power button to confirm.
Step 7: Now enter the below command to reboot your device into standard mode.
fastboot reboot
Note: Don’t relock bootloader unless you have restored your device back to 100% Stock and are sure you won’t want it unlocked again.
