Prepare Micromax Canvas 2.2 A114:
- Backup your important data as installing Custom ROM requires complete wipe of your device.

Backup & Restore Call Logs
Backup files stored on internal storage to PC
- Make sure the battery percentage is at least 75%. If not, charge it.
- Enable USB Debugging.
- Root Micromax Canvas 2.2 A114 and Install CWM Recovery.
- Create a Nandroid Backup.

How to update Micromax Canvas 2.2 A114 to Android 5.0 Lollipop using Material plus ROM:
Step 1: Download the ROM package and the Fix package from the above links.
Step 2: Copy both the packages to the Root of your SD card.
Step 3: Power off Micromax Canvas 2.2 A114 and Enter into Recovery Mode by pressing and holding Volume Up + Volume Down + Power buttons simultaneously. Alternatively you can use app to do so.
Step 4: Once you are in Recovery Mode wipe all the data, cache and dalvik cache.
Step 5: Flash the ROM Package (MaterialPlus_FixedForA114.zip) and then the Fix package (MAT+Updatev0.2.zip), following our exclusive guide on flashing zip files.
Step 6: Once flashed both the packages, reboot your device.
After Reboot you will be able to experience Android 5.0 Lollipop on Micromax Canvas 2.2 A114. Canvas 2.2 a114 softwear update nahi ho raha hai
Now i m using material plus rom on my canvas 2. 2 A114. Now my smartphone is totally changed and working well with Lollipop. But i have faced one problem i.e whenever I go to system settings and click on Display option under settings then suddenly it says ‘unfortunately setting has stopped’. Please solve this issue as soon as possible.
Try to clear all the app preference from Settings > Apps > swipe to go to All > press menu and select reset app preference. If this doesn’t solve the problem then clear all the data, cache and dalvik cache from Recovery Mode.

When i flash it,(after material+ instal)
My mobile doesn’t show my memory card
it says 0 free space 0 used space
And when i connect to the pc with usb
It says Safe to remove sd card
And then vanishes..!!!

I have installed MATERIAL PLUS ROM but i am not able to recieve any data from other mobile through (shareit/superbeam/appshare) its throwing error Insufficient memmoy error popps.guide me how to fix this
Make sure you have sufficient internal memory space, or else change the saving location to SD card from settings of those apps.
I did the same way you have mentioned above… But the problems I am facing are-
My 32gb mmc is converted into phone memory
No space in SD card
Also OS shows, android 4.2.2 version jellybean

I am also facing the same situation as mentioned by Gaurav above.
I had updated my MMX A114 following the method mentioned above but my SD card is not working as normal. It is showing its space on phone memory and now I no more able to download any files via Whatsup, Youtube as the they are giving error of 0 space available on sdcard. Seems the Storage FIX provided above is not a working solution. Request you to please let me know if I am doing something wrong or if I need to fix some setting.
Would suggest all, not to update there Phone until this storage issue is fixed, as without SDcard feature, there are lots of things not working properly.

Hey Alpesh, I have storage problem too. But this update.zip solve it a little bit now i can access my both internal and external sd card in file manager. But there is no option to move any of app to sd card its just giving option to move to phone memory and move to inter sd card nothing else no sd card thats why my phone memory is almost full plz consider this.

Previously today itself I have upgraded from Jelly Bean 4.2.2 to Kitkat 4.4.2 and after installed your updates I sent back to 4.2.2 and even facing SD Card issue what Yogesh is facing. I have put update.zip file for further download. Currently SD Card is showing 0 storage space.
Would you please suggest how to do solve issue and keep separate storage for Internal Memory and SD Card memory?

I have followed your instructions and installed Lollipop 5.0 on Micromax A114 Canvas 2.2 (which had previously 4.2.2 OS Jelly Bean) and after installing yours (2 .zip files) it’s showing 4.2.2 where as it should show 5.0 but it does not.
And after update I am facing another problem, Mobile data in 2nd sim not working. 1st sim is working fine as 2G/3G/EDGE. Even I tried to swap sims in mobile, same problem occurs. How to solve this..??

Hey bro i have successfully installed new custom rom on my a114 ie. Galaxy extreme rom. All is working well but the only problem i face is my phone suddenly gets switched off and only gets ON when i connect charger. And even if the charging before switching off is 90% it show battery low indication. Please suggest me what should i do.. and when i start my phone it remains ON only for 3-5 secs then again gets switched off.

No, If you are facing issues with the Material Plus ROM, then you can restore Nandroid Backup to go back to the previous ROM.
